Man arrested for break-and-enter

MIDDLE MUSQUODOBOIT: A 23-year-old man was arrested by Halifax District RCMP following a break-and-enter into a business in Middle Musquodoboit on Feb. 1.

Cpl. Dal Hutchinson, spokesman for Halifax District RCMP, said police received a complaint of a break-and-enter and theft of tools from a business on Highway 224 in Middle Musquodoboit.

The break-and-enter occurred the previous night, Jan. 31.

“As a result of the investigation, a 23- year-old man from Musquodoboit Valley is facing charges for break-and-enter and theft over $5,000,” said Cpl. Hutchinson.

He will appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on March 26. The stolen items have been recovered.

The North Central Detachment were assisted by the General Investigative Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Cpl. Hutchinson said the investigation is continuing.
