RAWDON: Two men from Rawdon and one from Mount Uniacke are facing possession of stolen property after a joint investigation between East Hants and Windsor RCMP.

Cpl. Jen Clarke with N.S. RCMP said police have charged three East Hants County men with possession of stolen property. The property stolen were from thefts across East Hants, in HRM, and as far away as Windsor.

On April 6, police located a stolen trailer on a property on Highway 14 in Rawdon Gold Mines.

“With the assistance of a helicopter, police also located a stolen truck at a second property located on Hwy. 354 in Upper Rawdon,” said Cpl. Clarke. “Both locations were multi-acre properties which contained multiple vehicles, vehicle parts and machine equipment.”

Cpl. Clarke said police executed search warrants at both properties, with the help of the RCMP’s Special Tactical Operations Search Team.

“Over the course of three days, police recovered three stolen vehicles, two stolen trailers, stolen tools and a small quantity of drugs from Hwy. 14 and six stolen vehicles, a stolen mini-excavator, a small quality of drugs and computer equipment,” she said.

A third search warrant was also executed at another location in Upper Rawdon resulting in another vehicle being seized.

Police have charged Terrance Murray Murphy, 36, of Mount Uniacke; Danny Craig McCulloch, 63, of Rawdon; and Graeme Creighton White, 26, of Rawdon. They were arrested without incident on April 6, and have each been charged with one count of possession of stolen property.

Murphy was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on June 4. McCulloch and White remain in custody and were scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on April 12.

The investigation is ongoing with East Hants and Winsdor District RCMP.
