LANTZ: With more than $20 million pledged to the project, no one is happier to see work at the new highway exchange in Lantz than Hants East MLA Margaret Miller.

With the clearing done, everything is set to go.

“The budget’s been all approved,” she said. “They’re going to widen out both of the bridges on Highway 102 so there will be one special lane that comes off into Elmsdale so they won’t be merging traffic in and out.”

When complete, the exit should help alleviate rush hour traffic up Highway 214, which can be backed up quite far during popular commute times.

“Everything is right on schedule and we know the developers are very keen to get going too and develop,” said Miller. “It’s a good news story for Hants East.”
