RCMP investigates two vehicle collision involving police cruiser

ENFIELD:
Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating a two vehicle collision involving an unmarked police cruiser that happened Sept. 13, on Hwy. 2 in Enfield.

The RCMP vehicle was travelling with emergency equipment activated on route to assist another RCMP member at approximately 3:30 p.m. when the collision took place.

Both the officer in the police cruiser and a female driver in her fifties were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both were the only occupants of the vehicles at the time.

An RCMP Collision Analyst was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Hwy 2 will be reduced to one lane for several hours to allow for the investigation.
