OLIVER, Stephen William – Age 64 of Shubenacadie East passed away suddenly on April 1, 2017. Born in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, he was the son of James Guy Oliver and the late Marion (Watson) Oliver. Steve was a truck driver all his life, he actually got his first trucking job on the family farm he was just 13 years old. He lived and breathed trucking, it was his passion, not just a profession.  He was also a history buff, and was especially interested in the First World War. He was a gun collector and a member of the Valhalla Gun Club. In recent years Steve enjoyed keeping in touch with his friends and family through Facebook. Besides his father, he will be sadly missed by his partner of 38 years, Bonnie Miller; daughters, Angie (Cory) MacAskill, Amy (Stephen) Bigelow; grandchildren, Jenna Mae and Logan P.J.; sister, Doris (Murray) Falls; stepsister, Tori Oliver; niece, Elaine Falls (Chris); stepmother, Nancy Oliver. As per Steve’s wishes, he will have a funeral service in Ontario and be interred in Bobcaygeon. A Celebration of his Life will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
