Enfield-weekly-opinion

To the Editor,

The Enfield Heritage Centre Association requests the assistance of the community in collecting photos and information regarding St. Bernard’s Convent and any of the Sisters of Charity who served in the community of Enfield.

August of 2017 marks the 75th anniversary of the Sisters of Charity arriving in Enfield.

We hope to compile information commemorating this event.

If anyone has any photos or information that they are willing to share, please contact us at www.enfieldheritagecentre.com or at 902 883-8033. We would be most appreciative of anything offered to us in our quest.

Also, we are very interested in any photos of the community taken over the years.. It would be nice to have photos of the changes in landscape, the various stores and businesses, community events, etc.

In 1993, while celebrating the 50th anniversary of the E H Horne school, there were some photocopied pictures collected. Unfortunately a record was not kept as to who owned the originals photos. With the advancements in technology, it would be very nice to get scans of the original photos. If anyone has such photos that they would be willing to allow us to scan, it would be greatly appreciated

Thank you.
